During the last financial year more than 8 and a half million calls were made to emergency services – and in the first half, the majority of those calls were for ambulances.
But increasing aggression and abuse have lead to a rise in staff reporting symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder, depression and anxiety.
It’s prompted a plea from the New South Wales ambulance service to stop and think, before making a death threats.
