Generation Next undertakes research on current and emerging issues affecting the mental health and social and emotional wellbeing of young people to identity preventative, treatment and management measures of mental illness in young people. We see this as a vital component of our work, directly complimentary and supportive of our efforts in delivering education for professionals, empowering young people and informing the community.
Often this involves undertaking research and surveys on issues identified by our community that engages with us through our seminars, programs and online – as people with direct frontline exposure to the challenges and issues that young people face, their feedback and input has played a key role in shaping our research and educational activities.
Our research has led to the development of evidence-based interventions and resources. Some of the findings have also been published in peer-reviewed journals.
